Before: YYYY/MM/DD

YYYY = Year , DD = Day , MM = Month

For example if we put ‘ Before: 2020/04/10 ‘  then if you press enter , the Gmail will retrieve all the mails before that specific date i.e. before 10th April , 2020 in the screen .

Now if you want to see mails from specific person ,  just enter the ‘from: Person name ‘ fields next to the date range as shown below :

Before: YYYY/MM/DD from: Godaddy

Note that the person name is not case sensitive , but you should spell it correctly for accurate results .

Note : If you don’t put the search word i.e. ‘from‘ then also it will give you back the desired result i.e. if you put the search format

Before: YYYY/MM/DD  Godaddy

Then also it is fine . Just hit enter and it will show you the filtered results quickly . Also if you keep the sender’s name in the first place then the date filter then also it will give you the desired result as :

Godday Before: YYYY/MM/DD

Note : In place of ‘Godaddy’ just put any other required sender’s name . 

Search Type 2 – To Search Any Mail After A Specific Date Along with A Key Word !!

In order to search the mails before a specific date . we have to use the search query format as given below :

After: YYYY/MM/DD

YYYY = Year , DD = Day , MM = Month

In the above two types we have seen that we can easily search any number of mails by applying filter options as shown above . In the same manner , we can set a date range and search for any particular person name from whom we have received the mail . 

So first we will see the format without any keyword , and the format should be as follows :

Before: YYYY/MM/DD    After: YYYY/MM/DD

Here also , YYYY – Year , MM – Month , DD – Day  , so as evident from the above that you just need to add the search filter in the specified format to get the results . 

So now if you want to search by keeping the sender’s name , that can be simply done by adding an additional field in the above format as given below :

Before: 2020/04/30 After: 2020/04/29  Godaddy 

So here you need to add the sender’s name in the end , and the name is not case sensitive (be careful with it’s spelling)

Other Advanced Search Filters For Searching Gmails !!
